Sports

Sports are so popular on base in Okinawa to help the kids pass time. There are so many events going on all the time and it keeps my schedule full keeping up with teams.
Check them out, there are Football, Basketball, Cheerleading and Baseball below. I take individual shots of the kids, a team picture and then we get fun and do something crazy! Its a good way to end the photo session with the teams!

Beating the heat during pregnancy.... try an indoor studio sesssion

Courtney was my very first maternity subject. She was a wonderful subject and I was insanely jealous of her cute pregnant tummy with this being her 4th pregnancy! It was amazing! She was expecting a baby girl and couldn't wait to hold baby Mallori in her arms.

Next we have Shannah again. She is expecting a bouncing baby boy soon and wanted family photos included with her maternity session. The two year old Ellie wasn't excited but with a little sweet talking and playing, we had her hooked into being a part of the whole ordeal.

Kids can melt your heart

Kids are almost the most challenging to work with, Dads are the worst. I have fun working with the kids in all my portraits. Most parents are nervous going into the shoot because kids can be kids. I have three of my own so nothing scares me!

What a cute 18 month old little boy! Apparently there have been multiple attempts at finding the right photographer for this family. I was feeling the pressure going into the shoot but when it was all said and done, they were pleased and had the hardest time deciding which prints they wanted. That is when you know you have done a good job.

We had a blast at Kurashiki Dam and got some great shots! He was cute and he KNEW it!

Oh Miss Riley!!!!

Riley is the silliest and cutest girl there is around here. She was not too sure about taking pictures but Kristi and Candy, she could not resist. We got some really cute pictures and she was posing and having fun in no time!

Mr. Lucas...

He was a bit shy when I first arrived but with the help of his friend, he knew my name and remembers me every time we run into each other. He has so much personality.
He had a good time in front of the camera and had to approve his images.

Its Real Life

When we meet for a session, I just want you to be yourselves. Play, chase each other, show me what your family is all about. Joke. Have a good time. I leave each session with not only photos for the client but a story I saw while looking through my lens.

When I first arrived to Okinawa, I met Shannah at Market Days. She was the FIRST person to just sign up for a session. I was so excited to meet her and while she is my biggest repeat customer, she is now a friend I talk to daily!

Here is the session that started that friendship. It took some time get make her husband warm up to photos, but now he knows me and knows he better smile when my camera is around. Her daughter is so funny. If she sees "Kisty", she INSTANTLY says CHEEEEESE, take a picture of me! And she knows that I will.... They were GREAT in front of the camera and I really enjoyed the session!

Moms to be

One of the most exciting times of your life and you haven't even met the little miracle inside yet. We get nine months to prepare for the event of a lifetime and little do we know, we are not prepared at all for the love we are about to experience.
Below is Jennifer and Raynard. They are friends and two of the best people to be around. I can not wait to meet the little boy they are going to have. They were also insistent on including their dog, Prince. He was a ham and they were so fun to Kapture!

Next we have Amanda and Vince. She found me at the end of her pregnancy after giving up on finding an affordable photographer. They had actually found a few and nothing worked out. She contacted me and we were taking photos a few days later. Its a good thing too, she was only about a week away from delivering an adorable little girl. They were so fun to work with and you could feel his love for her and his unborn daughter.
